Pumping & Maintenance
Everything you need to know about keeping your tank healthy.
For a standard family of four, we recommend pumping every 3 to 5 years. If you use a garbage disposal frequently or have a high-occupancy household, you may need a pump every 2 years.
Yes. Waiting for a problem (like a backup) means waiting for damage. Pumping is preventative maintenance. By the time you smell sewage or see a puddle, the sludge has likely already started pushing into your drain field—which is a much more expensive fix than a routine pump.
Most tanks have two lids. They are usually buried 6–12 inches underground. If you have a "as-built" map of your home, it should show the location. If not, our team can use electronic locating tools to find them for you!

How to tell if your system is crying for help.
Keep an eye (and nose) out for:
- Slow-draining sinks or gurgling toilets.
- Sewage odors in the house or yard.
- Unusually lush, green, or "spongy" grass over the tank area.
- Water backing up into the basement or lowest shower.
Yes. If your red light is on or the buzzer is sounding, it means your pump has failed or the water level is dangerously high. Stop using water immediately and call us at 719-359-8832.
Hydrojetting & Advanced Services
Beyond the pump: Deep cleaning your lines.
A drain snake (rooter) just pokes a hole through a clog. Hydrojetting uses high-pressure water to scour the entire pipe wall clean, removing grease, minerals, and sludge. Think of it as the difference between a toothpick and a power washer. Learn more about hydrojetting.
If your pipes are structurally sound, hydrojetting is perfectly safe. However, for very old or crumbling lines, we always perform a Fiber-Optic Camera Inspection first to ensure your pipes can handle the pressure.

No. We know backups don't happen on a schedule. We charge our standard flat rates regardless of the day of the week. We’re here to help, not take advantage of a crisis.
Nope! As long as we have access to the tank area and your gates are unlocked, we can handle everything. We’ll send you before-and-after photos of the clean tank so you have total peace of mind without missing work.
